To try to get back some of that lightness and all-around good feeling, Arthur and I are on a cleansing soup diet.
Perhaps in an attempt to slowly work my way up to the elusive cupcake, I thought to try my hand at cream puffs. It’s like the simpler cousin of the cupcake, in my mind.
Our friends Eric and Anne-Gloria came over from Shanghai and they were the first participants of our inaugural winter camp which took place end of January.
We’ve continued to work on our home into the new year – sorting, arranging and adding little details.

When I was a kid in school and it was the last 2 weeks or so before final exams, or if I was training for an upcoming swim meet or ballet competition, my Dad would always have the same words of encouragement for me.
As part of the plan to consume less store-bought items these days, I’m starting to experiment more and making stuff from scratch. I decided to try my hand at steamed Chinese buns or baozi.
Between the rain and our summer travels, the year has flown by and our home renovations have taken much longer than we had anticipated. But I’m happy to say that we’re finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, we’re almost there!
